Native to South Africa, geranium is now established on French territory as in Africa or Madagascar. Its place of production, the earth, the climate give it a unique biochemical structure, and therefore different properties. In the nature, there are more than a hundred species of geranium. The shrub with long leaves has white to red flowers. It takes about 5 kg of leaves to obtain a single small bottle of a very fragrant essential oil, with a sweet rose fragrance.
